Sprint Treo Pro Available NOW!!! - Page 5

The palm pro is available now at best buy. I just bought mine tonight. The store got them in today, but only got 2 (both sold now). Memory reports under settings are : Storage 339.48mb, Program 80.54mb, in use 63.2

This is with slingplayer, siriuswm5, wmwifirouter, file explorer open (only siriuswm5 doing anything).

I only tried it once but I did notice that booting up wmwifirouter killed my data connection for slingplayer.

I can also verify that they are at 4 local Best Buy stores in the Atlanta area, but unfortunately, they are holding out on selling them until Sunday March 15

had a customer come in to my store who talked the local best buy into selling him one early, checked it out and the memory issue was not fixed. the only difference is that his software version was T850EWW-1.04-SPT while mine is 1.03 and the CC-CAP was SPRINT-TREOPRO-134 and mine is 131. it doesnt look as though any improvements were made. im alittle disappointed that no visible improvements were made.

Sounds like the 651.3 and 651.4 ROMs on the Sprint Touch Pro. Or like the leaked Touch ROM from last year before 6.1 came out. No visible bug fixes.

yeah, maybe it'll make a differance in the long run, but im not gettin my hopes up.

Well I am typing this on my new Pro. The memory may be a bit low but no problems so far with IE6, which seems to take up about 5 to 6MB.

i recommend loading skyfire on ur pro, its has better memory efficiency. once you browse around ppcgeeks site for awhile ull see so lag, or if you go to a heavy flash site it will eat up more and more memory, and you cant gain some of it back without a soft reset, even after closing out the app fully.

frealz. smartphone makers never cease to amaze me. there's deff gonna be some rom cooking for the treo pro as soon as it becomes readily available

I picked one up today at the Independence, Mo (Kansas City suburb) Sprint store today. So far, so good.

One thing I did not see before was that I can now update the PRL ota, via a link on the Treo Pro. That is the first phone from Sprint that I have had that will do that.

I plan too, just want to run and test it stock for a while.

Both the Touch Diamond & Pro have that feature too.
