First: The phone is a fingerprint magnet.

Pros: Everything they should've done right on the Mogul (bluetooth, GPS etc) is already installed.
GPS fixes occur soooo fast. Faster than Google Maps can boot up and load the default location as a matter of fact
3G and EV DO speeds are too sweet as well..
Ringer and speaker quality are awesome, finally a phone I dont have to crank up or tweak the audio to to hear it ring in a crowded room.
Vibe strength is impressive too.


Cons: (if you can call them that)
Only GSM right now until late December or January next year from Sprint.
Lack of manilla 2d screen support for 320x320 so they look weird
Keyboard keys small and close together so it does take some getting used to

It is a lot lighter phone than I am used to (Mogul and Treo 700) and fits very well in your hand can really truly be used one handed once you get used to the keyboard keys size. Having larger hands this phone fits very well and secure and pairs easily with all bluetooth accessories and PC's that Ive used (jawbone, blu ant, plantronics 850)

Overall it was a great buy at $450 from dell unlocked, only downside is I had to go GSM and switch service over, but I have better coverage now so far, so it was a trade off...

Nice phone overall, I know you hear about iPhone killers all the time, but this one really does compete on all levels and in my opinion surpasses the iPhone in speed and form factor...

Seriously though: At this point I am not even trying to guess and being happy with my consistantly strong + stable 700wx!!!!

I can tell you I left the 700wx (mistake) for the Mogul, back to the 700 wx to the Touch (mistake) back to 700 wx and then to the Pro and it is the best move I made. All of the stuff you love about your 700 is on the Pro plus more. Only drawback is the keyboard key size. If it had the same size keys I would be 100% instead of 99%

I would think about the Touch Pro (even-though I am not crazy about slider phones), but again...thanks VZW for not carrying it!!!!

Apparently the current rumor is that there will be more WM releases around the holidays....oh well, we will see!!!

Since I'm out of contract with Sprint and have had my 700wx since it came out I'm ready for a new toy. I've considered the Touch Pro, but the discussions regarding it seem to indicate numerous problems that I just don't want to deal with.

So, I'm still waiting for the Eight Fitty to come to Sprint. In the mean time I'll just stick with my trusty and stable 700wx.

Almost same boat here...I am out of contract with VZW and have had the wx since THEY picked it up!!

You mean the Pro? I agree it looks like a good choice, I am just not holding my breath on VZW picking it up anytime soon!!!

I will say one thing though....If I didn't have a family plan I would most likely switch in a second, I am getting tired of VZW not even trying to help WM users with new or upcoming devices!!

I had vzw but dropped them do to never updating their ppc devices. I must say their quality was a little better but they always lagged on devices. I now have att and i'm quite happy with them and my treo pro.
