Eh, if the Centro had WM6 in it, it would be even more amazing than it already is.

You might not like the Centro, but it's the hottest selling phone right now at Sprint and the best selling Palm device to date. No one likes it in pictures, but when you handle it IRL, it's a different story (a 6th friend just bought one about 20 mins ago after his AT&T phone died--a 7th is slated to order one next week. On Sero, you can't beat the instant $99 price).

Treo 800w is going to be a powerhouse device.

If you look in the picture, the 2nd line down shows the Wifi plugin, lending more credence to the Wifi + GPS specs that are rumored to be there.

And since Sprint has said that the Mogul has too little RAM (due to the late transition to WM6) this device will have at least 128mb of RAM but a good chance it will have more.

Agreed. Does anyone know how to search the FCC's website to find specs on this stuff?

Knowing its CDMA codename helps. (ie HTC Shift = Shangrila, Centro = Gandolf etc.)

BTW the is long overdue justice for the lack of a 750 Treo. My mom may like this Treo.
The screen/formfactor doesn't fit my taste, hopefully I'll see a new slide/qwerty soon.

BTW the design is great, not as palmy & sleek.

I want a 3"+ VGA Mogul with 256 RAM and real video drivers, gps, WM7, simple finger friendly contacts/launcher, fully customizable like the Mogul is now. Palms small square screen just sucks for video. Maybe some upstart Japanese company will read all the HTC complaints and make us a real phone (probably wont be cdma though)

I was on the phone with tech support today for my 700wx and the support rep told me that a "new treo" is coming out in April, the 800w. Said it will have wifi and gps and be faster than the 700wx w/ a better screen. Don't have anything else. Did anyone else hear anything?

Just for giggles I changed the URL on Palm's support site from http://www.palm.com/us/support/treo/treo700wxsprint/ to http://www.palm.com/us/support/treo/treo800wsprint/. The page comes up blank, but not a 404 not found. If you try changing the 800w to 800wx or 800wverizon, you get a 404 not found error.

Could this be a sign of the 800 coming really soon???
