trying to reprogram the radio the tech gave me a number to enter my msid number

reprogram the radio?? if u mean program the phone for voice/sms/data svcs, you need ur MSL, PTN and MSID...now, unless you know it already(which it seems ya don't) call Sprint and get all three from them(msl/ptn/msid) this info in the billing system must match what u program into the phone.

3-enter ptn
4-enter misd
5-hit save then ok, shud soft reset

Like skeegcpp saids your "msl" should be a 6 digits number, your "ptn" also called "MDN" should be your 10 digits phone number, and your MSID is another 10 digits phone number that sprint will give you, if you call then just tell them you had to hard reset your device and need to reactivate it, pen and paper, writte all the numbers they will give you so you dont have to call them back about it again, good luck.
