Re: the most aggravating part of my 800w...
"Cut and Paste is your friend" use the stylus to highlight the number tap and hold on the screen select copy go to the dial Pad screen tap and hold in the box select paste hit enter or center on the D-Pad to dial. Works for notes to.

Re: the most aggravating part of my 800w...
I know it works for notes are you able to highlight the number in the calendar event? Never had a calendar event so I don't know how the text is rendered. So far my experience has been that if I can highlight it I can cut and past it.

Re: the most aggravating part of my 800w...
Oneformula, I agree that there are some rather obvious shortcuts that Microsoft and Palm have left out. Since the calendar application is Microsoft, I believe this particular oversight is on them. I seem to recall that I was able to able to dial phone numbers from appointments on my Sprint PPC 6700 (HTC Apache), but that was with Windows Mobile 5 and the Treo 800w runs Windows Mobile 6.
Big D5's solution is confirmed, one can certainly copy a number from a calendar appointment record, and paste it to phone field on the today screen. Big D5's advice is also good, copy and paste and the stylus are your friends in navigating your new WinMo device. |

Re: the most aggravating part of my 800w...
unfortunately... it is difficult to DRIVE and cut and paste. much easier to just click on a number twice to dial (sorry to say... like a blackberry)
