Battery life on 800w

I just got one today. Is it me or is the battery life horrible on this!!! Hopefully after cycling the battery a few times that'll make a major change but so far the battery is horrible.

Realize that the 800w comes OOB with ALL of the following turned on:
- IR
- WiFi
- GPS
- BT

Turn them off, and on only when you need them, and the battery will improve from horrible to mediocre.

Re: Battery life on 800w

What other programs are you running that may be activiating by itself and thus running down your battery? WeatherPanel, Outlook, PocketSportsCenter, etc.?

Re: Battery life on 800w

A couple of cycles will improve it. You also need to make sure you are not running any programs. Some open by themselves when you start your phone and set it up. Just press and hold the "ok" button until the task manager opens. Press the menu soft key and press the "E" button, then click center navigation button.

Re: Battery life on 800w

True this phone is lacking on the battery end but it charges so fast. Plug it in for about 45 minutes and the battery is at 90% it would take my Mogul 3 hours to get to 90%. I got an extra battery at the sprint store for $40 not a bad price to have twice the battery power.
