Re: Battery life on 800w

I cannot define 5 hours as battery life, rather, it is battery suicide on my phone.

I run around fixing computers all day and the phone and bluetooth have to be on while I am driving and fixing things....at best it is down to 5% within 5 hours and only TWO conversations of twenty or so minutes.

I had the Mogul and am gonna go back to that. At least the battery lasted 7 hours...enough for my usual day...

Re: Battery life on 800w

I got the 2600 battery. The hump actually helps hold the phone better. This battery is great. I have no issues with a loose back like some others have. I talk between 1 1/2 - 2 hours a day (90 minutes - 120 minutes) text probably 30 - 50 a day. about an hour of browsing and usually 15 - 20 minutes of GPS with sprint Nav. GPS always on. I get 15 - 30 emails pushed. Today I already got 38 emails. WIth the OEM I would have to recharge between 2 and 5:30 pm depending on usage. That's after charging from 10 pm - 6 or 7 am. Last night I plugged in at 11 pm and had 47% left. I have average to small hand and the hump doesn't bother me. I love the phone and this battery has made it the best phone I ever had.

It is not merely "an article posted on the internet." It is authoritative and tells you the same thing as what Li-Ion studies have all shown.

After a few weeks your battery in your Centro and in your 800W can hold a slightly lower maximum charge than when you first got it. It seems longer because you played with your phone a lot in the first few days, and if the battery life was very low compared to the previous handset (a sure thing on an 800w), after a few days or weeks you got over the shock. The battery didn't, improve, it can't. There is no such thing as conditioning a Li-Ion. The only thing that changed was your expectations and habits.

Is that supposed to mean something? I've worked in the electronics field for over 25 years and I can tell you with absolute certainty that "reality" doesn't always follow "theory." I've seen more than one engineer walk away scratching their heads saying "that shouldn't be doing that."

You don't know what you are talking about. You haven't a clue how long I've "played" with my phone when I first got it. In fact, my experience is the exact opposite of your ASSumption. I "played" with my phone longer several weeks after I got it because I added/tested/removed more apps as time went on. In fact, I "play" with my phone more today than in the first month I had it.

It did, get over it.

Nonsense. You can parrot that line all you want, it's not going to change my actual experience.

Re: Battery life on 800w

Well I think this thread has gone past the useful stage everyone needs to calm down, so I am closing this thread. Everyone take a brake for a while before starting another battery thread.
