1 - GPS is working, without issues, directly out of the box. Beautiful I tell you!
2 - WiFi, not an issue here, locks on quickly, and it will switch between cell data and wifi if you go in an out of coverage.
3 - Battery life is so-so for me, but I am a big data user.
4 - Very stable. I have re-set a few times, just to delete programs.
5 - if you do not qualify for an upgrade, sounds like you do not, you will probably pay 599.00 for the phone
6 - text messaging uses the Palm Threaded app. Cool feature though, outgoing messages are gray until sent, and then changes color. Kind of like a notification of it being delivered.
7 - Phone as Modem, nope, not tried this.
8 - have not had one problem out of active sync.

Re: Just got my 800w/problems already

I have only had the phone since yesterday like most, andI know it is hard to accept, but this phone actually works the way we always wanted our 700wx and mogul to work. No lag time, and decent memory managment. I would have liked a soft reset button, and the battery life seems a little weak, but really too early to know forsure.

Is this for real? The Touch doesn't do VC/BT either??
This is the deal killer for me- is this a known issue that will be addressed or is it just the way Palm devices work?

Is the battery life and camera compared to the Touch here? How is the volume compared to the Touch, using speakerphone, BT, and the actual earpiece?

Thanks for answering all the questions! I'm considering making this move but I'm not sure on a few things. I wanna make sure I'm not downgrading in any way.

Re: Just got my 800w/problems already

What I want to know is if X-Button or something similar would work on this phone? I guess it wouldn't matter that much with all the extra memory, but it would definatly help the battery life right?
