Just got my 800w/problems already

Hi Gang,

Just got my 800w today. There are a few design glitches that will need fixes. Hopefully some of you can help. There is no reset hole anywhere on the device. The manual states that you need to remove the battery to perform a soft reset. Because of the new resolution none of the today screen plug ins work, like Pocket Plus or Battery Pack that will allow you to put a soft reset icon on the today screen. The battery door is very difficult to remove and once there are leather cases available I am not going to want to pull it out of the case every time I need to soft reset. Was wondering if there is a registry hack to create a soft reset icon that could be added to the menu? Also because of the new 320x320 resolution many of my software products are causing it to lock up. Be careful when installing software until resolution problems get fixed by the developers. Other than no reset hole and a crappy stylus this phone is awesome!

The Centro is the exact same design and getting the battery door off is a cinch, you just gotta do it right:
  • Face the top of the phone towards you, face down
  • Put your thumbs on the battery door, fingers below
  • Push the battery cover backwards
My flies right off, no problem. They did that design to make the cover flush with the device.

No reset hole is no biggy as WM6.1 is quite stable (I reset my device maybe once a week?)

Can you give us some comparisons

What were you using before the treo ?

How stable is it ?

How fast. Does it respond quickly ?

Features ?

I went to the sprint site to see the
specs but it wasnt even on the list
and I know sprint has a tendancy of
removing stuff like gps and wifi.

Was anything stripped off ?

Get MemMaid, it has a Soft Reset menu option.
