question...

when i installed it works great but in Start > Programs I have:
Messaging (1)
Messaging

as new apps. why both? can i delete one?

Yes, you can delete either of those links via \Windows\Start Menu\Programs

yea it should but this is a beta I recommend u back it up before you do so. and all u have to do is install the .cab, DON'T copy the files into ur windows directory.

Thanks for your reply but Malatesta specifically stated in his post that after installing the cab file, copy all the installed files to the windows directory. Will it work just fine if I don't follow his instructions? Thanks again! and Wideawake, I sent you a PM.

Yea u only copy the files if its pre aku 2.3 as stated on the download and I think in the readme

this has just started happening recently. i have an 8125 and a lot of times when i get an sms, it gets picked up by the default messaging program. i delete the text completely and then open up the threaded messaging program and respond that way. once that happens, i continue getting the texts just fine w/ threaded app. it's usually just the first one when the threaded app isn't open. i have already deleted the poutlook or whatever it was called out of /windows/startup. this isn't really a problem, just an annoyance. is there anything i can do or check to have the threaded app pick up all the text messages i get? i also only have sms as an option w/ my left softkey. is there a regedit i need to do to have messaging show up too or is it just easier to install the vdslippypalm (think that's what it was called, lol). thanks in advance for any help guys.

Edit: i almost forgot. does the today screen plugin that tells how many, if any text messages you have need to be on your today screen? i just didn't know if i actually needed it on there or if the threaded app would work just fine w/ out it being there. sorry for all the questions, lol.
