A Tytn Forum?? Oh yay and hurrah!!

I ballsed up my Registry and it wouldnt let me do anything with any cabs, Just performed a Hard Reset at work of all places, looking good just have no contacts till i get home and get to sync. Dammit! Ill let ya all know how it goes but The New BETA 4 does look tidy indeed.

yes sir.

oh if u didn't know u can download from our forum directly to ur ppc unlike all other ppc forums! :P so no stinkin activsync is needed here and that's the way I like it! (also the reason we don't allow .cab or .rar extensions)

How do I do this on a 700wx? I have been downloading to my desktop, then transferring to my SD card, and installing from there. With .exe extentions, I have to Active Syc from the desktop.

@durso thats fine to install that way. u can either download directly to ur ppc, or to ur desktop and activsync over. the choice is urs and they both work.

Has anyone else had problems with the messaging plugin for the today screen? I don't seem to be getting any message indications. I get the proper pop-up indications but when something is going on and I go back to the today screen there is no message count. But you can clearly see at the top that there are unread messages due to the icon.

i installed beta 4 on my 8125 and everything was working great. i would just get the occassional text message through the standard text message program. i performed a soft reset yesterday and now it seems like the threaded sms app doesn't receive the text messages. i can send them out, but don't receive them in the palm app. my question is, did the soft reset revert settings to how they were before and can this be fixed w/ out needing to do a hard reset? is the threaded sms supposed to be in the startup folder and not poutlook? only other thing is that the sms left softkey only has sms as an option, there is no messaging option. thanks for your help in advance.

I used to have that problem until I removed the poutlook.lnk from \windows\startup. I haven't had it since.

The threaded sms app does not need to be in the startup. Remove the poutlook link in startup and soft reset.

I can't say I've experienced that. It could be your cemail.vol file is corrupted. a backup, hard reset, restore procedure should fix it.
