What I mean in before u install make sure u uncheck one of the start menu icons located at Start>Settings>Personal Tab>Menus (ie. Help, this is the one I do since I dont use it) then install and u will not have duplicate icons or entries like that. But sadly the only way to remove at this point is a hard reset. This is still in its early stages so please be patient my friend. ~mike

I must say after using a threaded sms aplication for the first time I don't think I will ever be able to go back to the regular kind! Thanks to those that put in the time to make this work

WideAwake,
Hey, thanks, good I just wanted to make sure I understood it right, to my knowledge I did uncheck help from the check list so as to have an open spot on my start menu, but I have no problem just hard resetting my phone, so perhaps I'll just hard reset and start from scratch and just make sure that I do uncheck at least one. Also I was curious as to whether or not the app is looking to include the names of the people like the 700p's built in program or if we're just gonna get the 'in' and 'out' arrows? Thanks again, I'll pry hard reset either today or tom and let you know what happens. Paul |

Hey,
Did the hard reset followed directions, but still get duplicate check boxes on the start>settings>personal tab>menus for Inbox and Messaging, here is what I did maybe I am doing something backwards 1. Hard Reset 2. Start>settings>personal tab>Menus; uncheck both 'Help' and 'Windows Media Player' 3. Install Resco 4. Reset 5. In Resco change to show all files 6. Install cab file for sms 7. copy all files from 'Palm Messaging' directory to the 'Windows' directory and overwrite anything it asks 8. Reset 9. Done Let me know if this is not the proper way to do this, however if it is I am still getting duplicate check box options for both Inbox and Messaging. It does not cause any errors, but its just kind of there and just picking at me being like im staying here and you can do anything. But if I try to check the duplicate box for either Inbox or Messaging the error I get is 'Unable to move that item'. Any suggestions? Paul |

hmmm thats very odd. Im not sure whats going on there because I tested mine over and over....hard resetting each time and it works flawlessly. Its no biggie tho just rename/delete whatever icons u dont what in the windows>start menu>programs folder. as far as the today screen try going to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Today\Items\Inbox change enabled from 0 to 1 and the same thing for the messaging one. but I dont know why ur the only one that seems to have this issue....
