I Have a HTC TyTN (Tmobile Vario II) in the UK
I have absolutely everything working fine, no delays no problems with threads and mms works in and out, when I reset my device though my old SMS program takes over and my device takes it upon itself to create a new SMS folder in my HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Inbox registry! The SMS.old is still there and simply deleting the new SMS folder makes everything return back to how I want it.
Can I either stop it from making this new SMS folder or if not make a small app that I can put in startup on the device that deletes the new SMS from the registry automatically so I don't hav 2? Any Ideas you clever people? BTW, anyone having problems with sending MMS I took hours playing with the settings then I tried :8080 at the end of the IP address and it sent first time, this is cos 8080 is my port number so use whatever port number your MMS service uses and you should be fine. |

so are u using the .cab I posted on the 10th page or so or are you using another .cab? As far as the startup sad to say but I dont think theres away around it. I cant get .cabs to stick in the extended rom myself for some reason but other file extensions do. PPC Cash is like a reward system in which once revenue is good I will open a store to purchase items....see this thread for more info on ppc cash.
~mike Edit: when u say add a 8080 to the end u mean in the MMS gateaway address?

Yeah, here are the settings for TMobile UK
SMS = +447958879879 MMS Gateway = 149.254.201.135:8080 (obvioulsly use this as a basis of what ever network u are on will be IP.AD.RE.SS:PORT) MMS URL = http://mmsc.t-mobile.co.uk:8002 Network Profile = T-Mobile Internet When you say you cant get .cab files to stay in the extended memory, what are you trying to do? I Install all my important apps to the extended memory so my main memory remains empty, I dont store any files there. As for registry, could I or anyone thats cleverer than me, make a Macro type link that goes into my Resco File Explorer, Navigates to HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Inbox and deletes the SMS folder? I could then put this into my startup folder and all would be fixed. BTW Im using the Cab file that is located on the very first page of this thread, I've installed it on 4 MDA Vario II's and 2 MDA Vario's and it works wondrously on them all apart from the reg problem. Does anyone else's registry keep doing what mine does and if so what phone models do you have? I have encountered one person on XDA-Developers that has this problem but is very vague about it and there doesn't seem to be much help on there. PS Also if you try and record sound in an MMS do you get this error? "RECBAR.dll is missing" people have moved this file to the phone then get "Failed initializating the recording subsystem." Does the Treo have a different sound recorder program than other WM5 devices and does anyone have it working? I also notice that if you use the "Pick Sound" option on the add media menu it does not display any .wav or .mp3 files only .AMR files, is there a way around this as I wouldn't mind if I could record sounds in my standard program then send them.

well I'm getting off work now and don't have time to answer many ?s as I have a doctors appointment right after. Ok so u have a empty extended I myself only removed the ones I know weren't needed and tried loading my basic setup .cabs into the extended so they automatically install on a hard reset but they don't stick. that's what I meant. I to have the same issue of renaming the mms folder on my apache. my delay must be because my mms gateway address entered.

Just some issues I've noticed
Hi all,
I've installed the Palm Messaging App. However, I get an error when sending MMS, saying that I have not enough memory to send the MMS, while in actual fact, it is the only app open. Also, is there a way to get a notification when a message is successfully sent like the default system? Thx |

I gave up on this application. There are too many little things that aren't integrated properly. When you click a phone number in phone history, you can no longer send a test message, etc.
I really appreciate those who have worked hard to get this where it is. You guys(girls) are amazing. You make my 6700 a piece of wonder and amazement. I enjoy seeing what has been cooked up. Keep up the good work.

Yes, that is my phone. What else do you think it could be?

Yeah... I am thinking of removing it as well... hope someone figures out the tricks to get this running correctly! A guy Deemota over at Mobility Today claims it works perfectly on his Ipaq..... no sending hangs or anything. I wonder if that means anything.
