And to answer my q again, yes, if you have aku 2.3+, just install the cab then delete \program files\palm messaging. AFTER you soft reset and verify that it works. cheers!
I tried deleting the files on my q...same problems, when I send a message, the person who is supposed to receive the message just gets a blank message.

Anyone else have this program randomly open up while the device is locked? sometimes I wake my device up to see this program instead of my today screen.

Happens to me, just something I have learned to live with. I just flashed to the new ROM, so we'll see if the problem continues.

what happens if i uninstall the threader?

start > setting > system > remove > uninstall?

ive been having a few problems and thinking maybe i didnt install it right, do i need to hard reset or can i just uninstall and try again?

Not sure about the uninstall, but a hard reset will definitely remove it.
