The biggest thing is something you can't put on paper, and that's the customization Palm did to Windows Mobile. It's just plain easier to use and faster to do what you want.

I wish HTC could do more in the software area and Palm could do more in the hardware area. Until one of them gets thier act together it looks like we'll have great-looking and feature packed but shitty to use HTC phones and great to use but shitty looking and featureless Palm phones. At least in the US. If I lived in Japan I'd have a Sharp W-Zero3. Give me a 480x800 screen and everything else can be forgiven

I agree 100% with everything Bearxor said.

I've been playing with the 6800 and it comes down to this: if you like that form factor, it's a pretty nice device. It's thin, screen is solid and the keyboard feels nice.

I, on the other hand, absolutely cannot deal with that form factor. Everything is just easier on the Treo, whether it's making calls or just browsing the web.

I can't wait for the 800w and like mentioned above, I don't even need that much to improve it: thinner, no antenna, wifi, 320x320, WM6 and maybe a few surprises will keep me as a believer.

I really love my 700wx. My wife and daughter have the 6800.... I wouldn't trade them for anything. Maybe it is just because i am used to the 700 and not the 6800.. The camera is nicer on the 6800... but i can take better moving pics with the 700wx. my only problem with the 700wx, is i can't figure out how to change the today screen to look like the iphone.... if anyone can email me the directions... it would be appreciated tc32brat@yahoo.com

I'd like to see a flash. I doubt it will happen but it comes in damn handy for a flashlight. I used the camera app on my 6600 all the time but it's barely ran on the 700wx. Don't really take pictures with my phone.

I'd like to see a 320x240 screen instead of the 320x320. The 1:1 aspect ratio cuts off the side of TV shows I stream from home. I wouldn't say no to a 320x320 screen. Then we could go to the HTC forums and elbow them about having "low resolution screens", heh.

WiFi's not a big deal for me, but if they move to MicroSD like they did on the 750, then it BETTER have WiFi.

Re: the screen, yeah I sad pretty much the same thing at TC about the Treo 500--landscape is pretty killer as Slingbox looks amazing on my Moto Q.

Actually, I think they should just go for 640x480 and really boost it...that'd be a first (assuming it looks okay).

I'm very new to PPCs and the only thing I can add is that I get 1 more full bar of service with my mogul over my 700wx(s)
But technically they were both DOA so I dunno.

I actually use AEBP for the side button. You can get 4 functions out of one button. Single, double, and triple press, as well as a hold function. The AEBP task manager is hands down the best I have ever used. (Assigned to my single press). Calc on Double press, Keylights on triple press and camera on hold. Very worth it IMHO... bars are sort of irrelevant, it's only the RSSI value that counts.

I mean that my reception is better in a place where it was terrible on the 700. I would get dropped calls and failed to send messages in my apartment, and now that doesn't happen as much. Of course the other phones were doa, so whatever. Just bad luck I guess lol

Theres technically no difference in the reception. It's probably all in your head honestly. I've set the Mogul and 700wx side by side in my apartment, which has horrible reception, and watched the RSSI values on the debug screen. They fluctuated back and forth but they both stayed in the same range.

Any difference you have likely has nothing to do with your device but perhaps something on the network side that changed.

While this may be true, and I won't argue about it, my Samsung A920 gets better reception (all 3 sprint) than both of the PPCs I've had, all in the same spot. As far as OP is concerned, maybe my con would be that I received two dead 700wxs from sprint in a row, and my mogul seems fine. Personally I find the mogul a little more difficult to use while driving, as I don't have a headset, but I can't say I want a 700wx back. The 700wx didn't fit me as well as the mogul does, but I'd be happy with either of them
