are they being deleted or just marked as read? In the gmail settings using the web insterface you have a choice to select where gmail stores message downloaded by pop3. if you have it selected to archive the copies then gmail will move it to the archive folder and out of your inbox which will give the appearance that they are gone. what you need to do is change that setting to store in inbox. to check that just click on the all mail tab to see if your messages are still there.
let me know, gmail is a pain in the asssssss with the treo |

Problems with Gmail Inbox
I did have the following: "2. When messages are accessed with POP: Archive Gmail's copy." I set it to "Keep Gmail's copy in Inbox."
Another questions, when I delete the messages from the Inbox on the handheld will it also delete the message from the Gmail Inbox on the Google site? Regards, Vernon |

Change your username in pocket outlook from <username>@gmail.com to recent:<username>@gmail.com and it will keep at least 30 days of email in your inbox. I had the same problem and this took care of it for me.
