this package is to install mms? if so why when i downloaded this it did not install mms? i went to messaging scrolled threw to see if i had mms the only one i see is gmail, outlook and text messaging were is this mms?

I saw that you had instructions to follow to be able to send picture texts for verizon and sprint but is there a code that allows altell members to also send mms texts?

Just wanted to put up my success story with installing this cab file. It took me a while to figure out how to do this even with the help on this thread.

This cab file enables your 700wx phone to send picture mail messages to other cell phones. something that it is not capable of doing with out this file.

to do this download this file

Download simple install .zip with .cab inside.
Sprint MMS Simple Install

Verizon MMS Simple Install

I downloaded it to my pc first. I saved the zip file on my deskstop then i used winzip to extract it and saved it again in another temporary folder in My Documents.

with my treo syncd to my pc i clicked on explore device and copied the file into the program files folder under my device. then i just clicked extract and it did it's thing and voila! it's done.

now in order for you to send a pic now you have to do it a certain way for it to work. you can't pull up the image first and then click send for it to work like we would like to do it.

In order to send pic you need to click messaging press left or right until you get to the mms inbox, click new then click New Pix Message. The rest is self explanitory, just follow direction on the screen.

Just try it again, uninstall it. do a soft reset, install it. and soft reset right after.. see if that helps.

I have a Mogul 6800 with Sprint. I installed the MMS app. When I go to send a picture, the to(recipient) box does not have access to my contacts. Is there any way of correcting this? It's a pain if you have to remember people's numbers.

You should have access to your contacts list to send to.

Any thoughts or help?

Try reinstalling it again. It gets tricky sometimes.

I can send using this great, but when I receive a new message, it comes in, alerts me....when I go to the message it says the size etc but there is no picture that I can find anywhere.....


it gives download time etc, as well as the size. I tried pressing the play button as well but there is no picture....help please?
