I know I have already posted to this site but I did a hard reset to try and set my phone up in a more efficient manner ( :( I didn't have sprite backup at the time #-o so I had a lot of unwanted things and so I thought it would be best to start fresh). I don't know guess that I wanted to make sure I was learning this information the right way and didn't want it to be a fluke :D .

Here is the problem I know I needed at least total commander (I have question that I will ask about Resco later) and tried to install I couldn't do it through active sync. I even tried to do it straight through my ppc but it wouldn't go through. Don't know how it happened but I was finally able to get it. I had the zip file I unzipped it then I think I used the .cab not sure but it is on my phone. I don't have an MMS folder like I did last time and there isn't a fifth option like there was last time I installed this program in my send options. Did I do something wrong? ](*,)

Well you said you installed Total Commander, but did you install the CAB for PicMail? The one linked to from the first post of this thread?

Juslisten 03-15-2007 04:18 PM

Yeah. That is why I am lost. Even when I downloaded the file on my ppc I saw that it was a zip at first. I unzipped it then I found the one that was labeled .cab and I clicked on it. It kept reading installing PPCGeeksMMS.cab for the program but nothing was happening no directions or anything. I then went to I believe total commander and clicked on the .cab and went to try and send a pic. The pic went through but I have no MMS folder. I deleted the .cab and .zip off of my phone. Do/should I try to reinstall again. I did backup before I did my download :D

Uhmm I don't really know what's going on, but every app you install needs to give you a message at the end that says it installed succesfulor unsucessfully... it is an OS thing, not an app thing.

I'd remove both TC and the PicMail app and try to send the cab directly to the deviced and open it through the Windows File Explorer and wait until it finishes installation.

Remember you can send images via e-mail from the 700w/wx, but this hack is to be able to send PicMail.

Juslisten 03-15-2007 09:00 PM

I did recieve the message that it was installed successfully. ( I recieved unsucessful installation when I canceled because I didn't want to overwrite the program again. So you are suggesting taking TC and Pic Mail off and trying to install the programs again? I was able to send a pic it was just that I only have four options (1 grayed) and I didn't recieve an MMS folder.

So unzip the file on my PC and then add it to my treo via active sync by copying and pasting it or should I use the click and drag. And Pibe I am just trying to get the basics down I don't have any idea about sending images just working on the pics first. :D

I was able to send Pic Mail without the folder.

for somereason i cannot edit the sprintpcs connection in mms config.. anyone have this issue too?

Pibe38 03-15-2007 10:48 PM

Uhmm I'm not sure since I don't use the app... if you were able to send a pic through MMS instead of e-mail then I say it works, so you are safe leaving like it is.

Also, when copying files through AS it's basically the same to copy/paste or drag them... dragging them may move the files instead of copying them.

ok, i just started having problems with this program. when i take a pic and enter the into to send it, it does not connect to send. when i go back to view the message it shows a envelope with a hour glass but i've had pics from days ago that have still not been sent. i tried turning my phone off and back on but that didn't help. what can i do?

Install the application on the first post, go to the MMS folder on Pocket Outlook, attach the picture, send.
