Pushmail Question

Hey guys, hoping you can help me out with something.

I've been using mail2web for pushmail for the last week or so. I'm forwarding my e-mail to that the mail2web account. But, since starting to use it, it seems like it's constantly syncing, and eating my battery up like never before.

Also, if an incoming call comes in, the sync will start after a ring or two, and send the call into voicemail.

Am I doing something wrong? I thought pushmail was supposed to help with battery life?

I switched over to pushmail because my gmail e-mails coming through, even though I had it set to check every 15 minutes. In case it matters, other software I've got running includes phone alarm and weatherpanel.

Thanks,

K

Battery life will suffer more under push email because of the constant internet connection. By default, as soon as an email hits your mailbox, mail2web will send it to your phone via Activesync. You can change that from "as items arrive" to a time that fits your need (ie every 5, 10, 15 min etc).

To change, open Activesync. Click on Menu then Schedule. Set the options for syncing for Peak and Off-peak times. You can define the time that applies to both there as well.

Thanks. Right now I've got it set to as e-mails arrive, but I'll play around with other settings.
