I'm running nothing. I've added the program to turn off the backlight on the keyboard, which I leave off all the time and the hide logo program. Not running anything else. I'm certain it's my location inside my office building and the crappy service in my apartment.

Looked at switching to Verizon or Alltel but I get 500 minutes and unlimited data and text for about 53 bucks a month with taxes and it's impossible for either carrier to match it.

I'm not too stoked on the battery life. With casual use, I'm usually down to below 30% by the end of the day. The Siedio extended battery doesn't seem to be increasing it all that much either (not the big one with the included battery cover--the 1st gen extended). I was hoping this thing could last two days on one charge, but no such luck.

I think it's really because of push email and WeatherPanel downloading radar images. But I was under the impression that push is more efficient since it really only checks when it gets something. On the other hand, it seems like ActivSync connects to Exchange every single time I end a call.

it needs to get back the connection that was lost when making the call. thats why it connects again, but goes back to the gray arrows

In your push email setup, make sure you de-select automatic sync option to manual. If you leave it auto, every time there is a push email in, it does a full sync with the exchange server. Not a good thing.

Another thing to do is use magic button or some other utility to kill the process instead of letting it running in background, that will suck the juice too if you leave a lot of program running and also slow down the handset.

so i did a hard reset, no WP and no email set up...

today,

around 150 text (and counting)
30 minutes voice
vibrate on

9 hours so far and im at 76%

im really happy with this!
when i get home, ill surf the web on my phone listen to some music and videos just to see what a "normal day" will get me. but this is a lot better, before my hard reset at this point i would be closer to 50-60%

One thing that I have found it the battery meeter is not very accurate. My 700wx was telling me the battery had 30% left after 24 hours. I pulled the battery out in put it back in and then the meter said that I had 55% left. I used for about 6 hours before it was back to 30%.
