Re: 720/800 mhz boost for your Pre

I had a chance to spend about half an hour with an Evo yesterday. It's still Android. Webos with 800 patch holds it's own and is so much more sophisticated. The phone does have nice features and I like the form but honestly didn't see a reason to put out the cash to replace my Pre. Just my observations and opinion.

Agreed, I still may get the EVO though and probably have it take the place of my TP2. I would not give up my PRE just yet. We'll see if it will stick.

Re: 720/800 mhz boost for your Pre

Post # 2. Spent an hour with Evo today. I stand by my previous comment, "It's still droid." The phone belonged to a Sprint rep and she was blown away by how fast my pre was compared with the Evo. I wasn't crazy about the bulk and size of the Evo but I'm sure I'll pick one up when they've been out long enough for some to be unhappy with it. I do believe the 800 patch keeps the Pre in the game, even with the Evo. I'm trying hard to like the Evo more than the Pre but it just ain't happening. One last point, Sprint in some parts of my area has weak signal and refuses to roam in almost every case. The forced roam patch for the Pre saves me on a daily basis. Not sure if it's available for the Evo without a comp. and QSPT. It wasn't for my Heros.
