Re: Bgill55's 6.5 Rom V2.6.2 Build 23001!!!

Excellent ROM!!! My roommate has an Omnia, and she has me do all the customization for it, and I found this one to be best for it.

I was curious though, do any of the Omnia cooks plan on implementing SDAutoRun like on the HTC Touch Pro (and other devices)?

Not sure if its even possible, but it can't hurt to ask, right?

Re: Bgill55's 6.5 Rom V2.6.2 Build 23001!!!

Here is the cook link from XDA: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=366333

and here is the user link from XDA: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=366337

It was more or less worked out by Sleuth255 on XDA. I have a pretty good grasp of it from the user stand point, although I don't really know anything about cooking ROMs, so that part is a bit beyond me, but if you need help, I can at least try.

It basically allows you to write a file that will install any cabs/xml files you want so that you can automate a good amount of your set up after a ROM flash. Very necessary for the HTC users, as a lot of us are flashing near daily, and installing 20 cabs and changing 20 settings by hand is really annoying, as I'm sure you can imagine.

There is also a thread here on PPCGeeks, http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=59566, where a lot of really good info is located.

Let me know if you need any more info, I will see what I can do!

From what I can see most chefs are encouraging the use of Sashimi for installing programs and making mods after a flash.

You can find a great tutorial at http://www.modaco.com/content/i900-g...r-the-dummies/

Re: Bgill55's 6.5 Rom V2.6.2 Build 23001!!!

I've flashed this ROM and really like the look, feel, and speed. The only issue that I have is that I can't seem to get any additional themes to work. I've followed the instructions but they all seem to corrupt the panel screen. I'm sure I'm missing something simple, but I sure don't know what it could be. Any help would be appreciated.

Alot of the themes out there dont work with certain panels, you will have to edit the titanium CPR do get the broken panels to work!

Most of the Omnia chefs are. I'm looking into Sashimi, and it looks promising, but I've been working with the user side of User Customization for a while, and its a very powerful tool...I also like hand coding things.

I'm weird, I know.

I've only tried a few themes that were created specifically for the Omnia running 6.5 - no joy

I also tried a hard reset and changed the theme before installing anything else - just in case I had added something that caused the problem. Still no joy. Maybe it's just me...
