Re: Verizon i910 Kitchen Ready
No.
rgu files consist of the registry used during building. |
Re: Verizon i910 Kitchen Ready
so I edit/remove them after the buildROM? I am confused...
|
Re: Verizon i910 Kitchen Ready
No.
Think of it as editing the registry, before its installed. New tutorial. http://ppckitchen.org/forums/showthread.php?t=533 |

Re: Verizon i910 Kitchen Ready
Holy S!
I've been lurking at Modaco for just a few days and come back here to find a kitchen! WooHOO! Nice work Adryn! Now I can put my Chef skills to good use! One question: what OS is this based off of? 6.1? 6.5? |
Re: Verizon i910 Kitchen Ready
6.1.
Shouldn't be too difficult to get it 6.5 ready though. |
Re: Verizon i910 Kitchen Ready
Thread sticky'd.

Re: Verizon i910 Kitchen Ready

Re: Verizon i910 Kitchen Ready
Adrynalyne,
Is there anyway we can just use your 1.3 as the base ROM and add our OEM's? I don't want to reinvent the wheel when there is already such a great ROM out there. Or is that what we are already doing here . |
Re: Verizon i910 Kitchen Ready
It will have to wait until later tonight. I have some biochemistry stuff to work on. I can upload my personal kitchen though.
|
Re: Verizon i910 Kitchen Ready
taking another crack at this. i quit wow, now im pretty sure ill find this a new addiction. i created all of those OEM packages and put them in the OEM file but they didnt show up when i ran syakr
|
Re: Verizon i910 Kitchen Ready

Re: Verizon i910 Kitchen Ready
So from what I can tell, I could start from any of these .bin files Adryn,Wozzer, or blazingwolf have put out and drop that into the extractrom_bin if i wanted to go that route? Also As I understand it Adryn has already extracted the cc20.ing file so we just need to remove what we want and add the oem packeges we want.

You got it!!! Now Get Cooking!!! |
Re: Verizon i910 Kitchen Ready
So I got the newRom.bin after dropping th OS.nb onto the BuildRom but I can't get the UMDL to recognize it. I just use sykar for now did not create any new oem packages yet. What am I missing?
|
Re: Verizon i910 Kitchen Ready
Quote:
rename it! Ie: flashrom.bin |
Re: Verizon i910 Kitchen Ready
Alright successfully flahed after that, Sykar is just a GUI to remove programs, but I can manually remove the programs from the SYS directory. Is there anywhere else I need to remove files from? Any Programs I want to cook in the rom I need to create OEM packages for and place in the OEM dir. Right?
edit sdo TouchFlo does not workeither, I must have missed something there, it just goes in a loop from Touch here to enable touchFlo to Launching TouchFlo and then right back. memory is no where near what Adrynalyne or Wozzer has done, but that is to be expected, I did not remove much. |
Re: Verizon i910 Kitchen Ready
correct, packages go in the OEM file.
|
Re: Verizon i910 Kitchen Ready
lol, It looks like I have both Easy Settings and Favorite Setting installed, which are the same thing.
|
Re: Verizon i910 Kitchen Ready
getting an error during buildROM
"the file 'temp\dump\.ROM\imageinfo.bon already exsists" |
Re: Verizon i910 Kitchen Ready
tried re-extracting the Kitchen and am getting the error
Error building default.hv and user.hv! when it gets to building the registry...what do these errors mean?? I didn't have issues last night. |
Re: Verizon i910 Kitchen Ready
Quote:
those are new errors that i never have seen. did you you back up your files to a rom that was working??? |
Re: Verizon i910 Kitchen Ready
Alright guys I'm feeling way over my head here. So I opened up syakr.exe and removed a few things and then ran scripts (did not save config) and it executes everything and says done...done what??? So I gave up on that and followed one of the other posts here and dropped Adrynalynes 1.3 bin into the extractrom.bin. This has a few errors saying it cannot open source files for the cc20-VZW_kitchen header and footer. In the end it says Extracting imgfs. Please wait.... and then nothing ever happens. Any help would be appreciated.
On a side note, I figured out how to make OEM's from cabs without any problems. |

Re: Verizon i910 Kitchen Ready
hiv errors are problems with the registry. Most likely one of your OEMs.
|
Re: Verizon i910 Kitchen Ready
For those people that arent cooking roms, Im taking some requests!! what would you like to see in a rom!! I Can build one for your specific needs!! right now im making one for the people that use Facebook and twitter! adding som photo editing and video editng programs!! Any other Ideas??
|
Re: Verizon i910 Kitchen Ready
I think I get this with Adrynalynes latest, I drag the os.nb to BuildRom, select everything I want and this generates a new bin file to flash. My question is as I convert cabs to OEMS do I need to make changes to app and rgu entries?
|
Re: Verizon i910 Kitchen Ready
what are you trying to do? For example?? I use oem package creator and it does everything for you!
