As microsoft is changing the user interface of a iots of its products (like office 2007 and windows vista) it does not seems strange they also want to change it for windows mobile.
The user interface has not changed that much in the last decade. But not all change is good. |

my concrens are not with the changes they'd like to make, for me it will be all in how they are executed, and how configurable they will be by the enduser. The idea of this type of interface has been around for years, but it just baffles me how its taking so long to grow roots once apps go to market.
I dont care if MS copies Iphone or vice versa, i just want to see someone get it more right than they get it wrong. truth is the iphone almost got it right, and even if they didnt at least they had a fresh take on how to interact with your device. |

Windows Mobile 6.1
Sooo I know all we have out are those 2 crappy low-res preview pics... but I figured I would start up a nice little discussion.
What do we all think about this new "carousel" style thing Microsoft is planning to release? Atleast they are attempting to amp up the user interface right?

I like the whole idea of a finger friendly interface. It's just feels more natural. I wish more software developers would make their programs finger friendly (FF)

I kinda like the look in the pics, but it does make me wonder how customizable it will be....I love changing the looks of my PPC as I like, and wouldn't want to give that up.
On a side note...I saw "Windows Live" in text in that pic...is that just the app open at the time, or does anybody think that is where they are starting out with this interface? |
