Re: HTC Passion VZW (Dragon)!! coming soon
Almost, but the HD2 is WM, which I still prefer at this point.

Re: HTC Passion VZW (Dragon)!! coming soon
When the Pre was initially launched, folks DID complain of lag. And the Palm issued some sort of update, and the lag disappeared.
Or so I thought. Just did a Goog search, and while most of the complaints about lag seem to be gone (when the apps are open), there is still SOME lag... Which I hate. Good one D/\SH, thanks for the heads up. EDIT: I'll go check it out at the Sprint store. Can't be worse than WinMo. I gotta see this, lol |

Re: HTC Passion VZW (Dragon)!! coming soon
I actually worked with a pre for 24 hours recently (putting it in developer mode, rooting it for tethering, and installing homebrew apps) and I was definitely not impressed with the Pre. There was some lag and the phone felt really cheap and "plasticky". There's a lot of things it still wont do as well, Pre owners seem to be hoping for a lot of things to be developed and updated, but I think development for the WebOS is probably going to be overshadowed a lot by WM7 and even moreso by Android. I've been hoping someone at work would get an Android phone so I would have the opportunity to play with it for a 24 hour shift. Android looks really promising, but aside from seeing it in the store, I havent had much time to really try it out.

Re: HTC Passion VZW (Dragon)!! coming soon
I would reply to Everyone individually, but I gotta get to bed. Let me just say that I dont have time try a phone out for 30 days to see if it sucks, I want to know NOW, before I waste my time, lol I should have listened to the reviews of the Mogul......But nooooooo, I came here and read "Oh, wow, this ROM is so FAST"......Bullcrap, lol
I see the warning signs with the Hero and TP2, and am not going there. Ill also agree and say that Android looks to be where its at. Too bad the Droid is on Verizon. And while Im at it, too bad Sprint doesn't allow phones from other networks on its own (else I would surely buy the droid and take it to Sprint) Oh, and yeah, the Pre does feel cheap, lol Last edited by Journeyjeans; 11-01-2009 at 05:23 PM. |

Re: HTC Passion VZW (Dragon)!! coming soon
Yes, I am actually quoting myself lol. I've been researching info on Android all evening here at work (minus the time it took to respond to 2 emergencies) and I gotta say, Android is looking pretty damn good. Still very young and already over 10,000 apps and growing exponentially! Android market place is set to overtake iTunes app selection in no time at this rate. Watching reviews of the new 1ghz Android phones shows pretty much zero lag and hearing reviewers call the phone "the fastest they have ever used" are making it look amazing. Not to mention the phone will use Flash10 for browsing without having to use a workaround like Skyfire. I may have to go to Droid for the next year and see just what Microsoft does with WM7 to compete.
