so what your saying if you buy the gsm version the cdma will be locked permanently?
but if you buy the cdma version you can pay to get the gsm unlocked?

No I understand that, and its exactly what im hoping for however, that they sell a unlocked version of the phone that consists of the same hardware (aka dual radios) and that somehow (FW most likly) ill be able to activate it on Sprint via CDMA, its kinda hard for me to explain but basically if the unlocked version they sell (if they sell it) has the same hardware then ill be able to have the nice casing and the FM radio (seeing as the TP still doesnt have FM)

edit: psy, basically, but like i was trying to say, hopefully they will sell an unlocked GSM version unlocked, which I can then flash over with CDMA FW that has GSM unlocked or something along those lines

LOL. Well If U say an Unlocked version, That is basically a GSM. No CDMA.

I think he means he wants a CDMA Touch Pro 2 that is unlocked.

But if it is unlocked, sprint wont accept it because it won't be in their ESN database. It will work on Verizon though..

Unlocked term On CDMA's is to have it ready to flash to a new ROM thou. Not to have it activated to other network. Oh well. He will eventually figure it out.

Well regardless..if you plan on activating a none sprint phone on a sprint network it wont work...sprint won't accept it.

Unless you take the illegal way and that would involve buying 2 TP and taking a trip to another country >.>

yeah with a cdma unlock you might get verizon or cricket, but if you want sprint gotta get the sprint tp2

It looks like the developer site is no longer showing the touch pro 2, not sure what this means?
