hm well if your familiar with wm 6.1, i would use it for a couple days, then switch to 6.5! yepp there called rom. I would check in cdma touch pro development.
You should try out my rom, but it depends on what your looking for in a rom..

Right now there isnt an app store, but they will be launching one with the launch of wm 6.5!

looking for pandora or something liek it, skyfire appears to be pretty sweet, some sort of weather program, google maps like program, games, basically anything free that is cool lol

also whats the difference between all the different roms, just looks? or are some faster than others?

check out the ppc software forum, theres pandora, google maps, titanium weather is nice for wm6.5, also touch flo 3d has a built in weather app.

Well looks, different builds of windows mobile, speed, battery life, etc.
