Talking Sprint Pick3 + google voice = free outgoing anytime minutes

This shud work with Any carrier that gives free minutes like the my faves option for T mobile or Pick 3 or 5 for sprint
Set up a google voice as one of the numbers and use that to make ougoing calls. basically GV calls you and connects the other party, thereby making it a free call anytime for u.
I just gont mine done.
and depending on how you have set up GV to forward calls to your phone, even your incoming calls can be free. you can set it up to forward your GV # for caller id. but you wont know who is calling until u pick up the phone.
interesting times with GV ahead.
do read this abt free voip with GV plus gizmo.

I have been using this option very well for a few months also.

Re: Sprint Pick3 + google voice = free outgoing anytime minutes

I believe this has been posted in the software forum. Ppl been doing this with tmo fav 5 til they caught on and blocked it hoe sprint never catch on but if they do! And for me my free min plans goes as following I have free incoming calls+onedailer which when you make an outgoing call it transfer it back to you ringing with your gv# and you answer than it call the other person. Kinda neat

I imagine it's only a matter of time before carriers find a lock-down for this. It would be a real great option, if there was a good dialer for WinMo.

Rex.
If you set it up like this, in Google Voice options you can turn call presentation on. That way, you will be able to know who is calling you even though the caller ID shows your Google number.

Re: Sprint Pick3 + google voice = free outgoing anytime minutes

Be careful with this. When someone actually calls your Google Voice number, it does ring with your Pick 3 caller ID, but ensemble shows the number as unavailable.

So far I've been experimenting with it this month using MagiCall for automated outbound calls and the system still seems screwed up. I have a couple hundred anytime minutes used and barely any Mobile2Home. It definitely appears as if I will go over my allotted minutes and I'll just end up going back to 1250. This seemed like the end all, be all especially combined with Gizmo5 and my SIP phone, but it just doesn't seem to work the way I thought.

I'm curious if anyone else is experiencing the same issues?

I wouldnt know the tech part of it, but it does seem like a task to find out which is a GV number and lock it down.

Re: Sprint Pick3 + google voice = free outgoing anytime minutes

Sad, I finally got the invite for Google Voice, setup my account, then contacted Sprint to get the Pick 3 and.....

Quote:
Thank you for contacting Sprint. I am glad to assist you about the
Sprint Pick3 option.

Unfortunately, we no longer offer the Sprint Pick3 option. However, you
can opt for, the “Sprint to Home” option. The monthly service charge for
this option is $5.00. Let me explain how it works.

All the calls made from your PCS phone, to the home phone number will be
considered as “Sprint to Home” calls and will not be taken out from the
Anytime minutes in the plan. The incoming calls from home phone number
are not considered under this option and the normal Anytime minutes are
counted. Only the calls made from PCS phone to the Home phone number are
considered under this option.

If you wish to add this option to your account, please reply with the
home phone number for which you wish to activate this feature.

We value your business and appreciate the opportunity to assist you.

Cherie S.

Darn! How can she say she'll be glad to assist me with something that doesn't exist... and what a way for them to get around wonderful workarounds we come up with... only if you call your house, what kind crap is that!

Re: Sprint Pick3 + google voice = free outgoing anytime minutes

I have free incoming from back when you could perk yourself with Sprint's unsecured web site. I know I could use Voice for free minutes but I never even come close to the amount of minutes I get with my plan so why bother?
