Re: htc to port hero UI to wm?
couple of things:
1. This excerpt is from the HTC response you posted "HTC’s future Windows Mobile phones will also be based on HTC Sense, but will enhance Windows Mobile in a way that is as appropriate and valuable to people" which means it is going to WinMo just not the exact same thing, of course they're going to tweak it there's no reason to launch the same software on new models 2. you said so I'm wondering what do you think Sense is? do you think it is its own operating system which is what i read from your previous post or do you think its a piece of add on software like your friends at intomobile think: "Android OS user-interface that HTC is calling the HTC “Sense UI.” Think of it like this - the Sense UI is to Android OS as the TouchFLO 3D UI is to Windows Mobile" just curious are what your thoughts are b/c to me this is reading like portions of Sense will make its way into either a new piece of software or into something that will still be called TouchFlo which is what i've said earlier in this post |

Re: htc to port hero UI to wm?
personally I think sense is a user interface that is meant to make things much easier for the end user. In that it is a GUI and htc would be correct. They've been developing sense for 3 years - the primary sense we have seen in 2007 as touch flo v. 1, then touch flo 3d/2d and finally touchflo 3d 2/2.5 and possibly 3. I think sense in itself is an idea of customization and allowing users to experience a bit of beauty and elegance on their devices as well as allowing customizability without going behind the scenes of an ugly os (windows mobile considerably).
That being said, htc's sense (unnamed UI) does the similar things that the idea of sense on wm does and in that its a great thing problem is...there was the belief that the android UI that complies with the sense perspective will be ported to WM...when in fact we already have a piece of "sense" in touch flo suite. As fara s that goes, do I think it will be on our xdas? not now no. But hey since CDMA version of android 2.0 reached its alpha we may very well see the sense ui for the android on wm via virtual process... that said...yeah I think that's the end of the topic and my personal opinions on it. In short no android ui... |

Re: htc to port hero UI to wm?
ok just wondering, and it sounds like you and i have been saying the same things just in different ways, no not a direct port but something similar down the road, no?
anyway, that cleans this up for me |

Re: htc to port hero UI to wm?
it probably can but the bigger problem is the Sense is written for Android and therefore won't run on windows mobile, so figure out programming then worry about resolution.
closest thing you can get for now that is for WinMo is whatever the newest TouchFlo is |
