Re: Will the Touch Pro 2 for Sprint Require a SE plan?
I think this all boils down to the huge amount of people who I refer to as a common known goup. This group is called "sheeple", you tell them what they have to do and they do it. I'm not saying Sprint doesn't have a list of SE phones, I'm not saying some ppl get better deals becasue they have been with Sprint 10 years. What I'm saying is Sprint wants to make money. I am willing to bet that 7 out of 10 customers (most not being PPCgeeks) would go right along with the you need a new plan for that phone.I had the same type of problem when I got my first Pocketpc the 6700. I had the $10 a month unlimited internet or vision plan on my Sanyo. When I was negotiating terms for the 6700 they hit me with the $30 power vision plan. They tried the higher speed internet claim on me and once again average person would bend over and take it. Through research and friends at Sprint I new that EVDO was not available; and now looking back it took them 15 months to get it here. So I argued with them and finally got a rep that understood that I wasn't a sheeple and not going to pay $20 more a month for the same thing I'm getting now. Long story short I got a Touch Pro now still paying $10 month for unlimited internet and we finally have EVDO. I think all companies try these scams because nowadays people dont check their bills they have auto billpay or direct deduction. 15 years ago I was with U.S Cellular and all was good. Then all of a sudden my biil would show I was making calls from 150 miles away. I would call them asking what was up and they would tell me don't worry about it, it's in your extended calling area. Well few months after that I started getting charges for calls made outside of my calling area from places I've never been. And every month I would call and question these charges and they would say we're sorry and credit them back. To this day I swear that glitch was just to see who would pay.
