The idea of finally being able to purchase a Touch Pro2 has been dangling in front of TELUS customers all month long. First, the addition of a “Coming Soon” listing on the carrier’s site, followed by an ad on Best Buy Canada revealing its price and availability. Now, it seems as though TELUS and Best Buy are sending out mixed signals.

The good news is that TELUS locations are beginning to receive display units of the Touch Pro2. The photo below, obtained by MobileSyrup, shows the device, along with the HTC Snap and BlackBerry Tour. This certainly implies a step in the right direction.

The bad news… I noticed that Best Buy has removed their Touch Pro2 listing (Snap still listed), causing more questions to arise. Did they simply jump the gun on outing information about the device or has its release date been pushed back again? Who will release it first now, Best Buy or TELUS stores?

Well, Best Buy did take it down a while ago, but it's back up again, this time with a properly sized image:

From all I've been hearing, most stores have them 'in transit', and it's likely we'll see the release next week.

(But we can always hope for this weekend!!!)

Hey, i was just reviewing the htc site, in the canadian section. The TP2 comes up, but when i read the specification section for it there is no mention of the 3.5 jack. its just says mini usb and audio all in one. I hope this aint true. Mobilesyrup reported that it would come with the 3.5 audio. i guess we're gonna have to wait and c.
