WM7 On Track, Spring 2010 Release likely!!!
http://wmpoweruser.com/?p=5408
"According to MJF’s sources WM 7 is still on track for Release To Manufacturers in Fall 2009, which should make a Spring 2010 release quite likely." I sure hope this is true, if not so long microsoft and windows mobile or phone or whatever they're trying to call it now. |

Re: WM7 On Track, Spring 2010 Release likely!!!
I guess it depends on the definition of "Spring".
It seems silly to go to the effort of making 6.5 if its only out for 6 months or so. My wild guess is end of 2010. |

Re: WM7 On Track, Spring 2010 Release likely!!!
maybe becausea lot of the features they are creating for WM 6.5 will be incorporated into WM 7. You sound as if you realldy don't like windows. Why do you own a windows mobile phone or a pc. Why not get a mac and iphone if you feel they are superior??

Re: WM7 On Track, Spring 2010 Release likely!!!
It makes perfect sense. M$ said there are two different teams working on 6.5 and 7.0. 6.5 was made for mainly for kinetic scrolling and minor upgrades. wm7 is a complete overhaul of wm. My main concern though is if my favorite apps will still work on 7. My guess is probably not and some of them are'nt supported anymore.

that arent going to be compatible? Why would someone drop $ypp on a TP2, only for it to be outdated in 6 months. |

Re: WM7 On Track, Spring 2010 Release likely!!!
it will be sad when the Pro2, Omnia2, TG01, users realize they hit a dead end....
who knows? maybe the cooks might get it running on them unless its gonna be a wild goose chase like the Android port where even the kaiser users are still waiting for a complete port... |
