I too love Merdin's 6.5 ROM. It's fast, functional, and the battery life on this ROM is better than most.

I'm personally hoping for Sprint to come out with updates to various Sprint branded programs like the IM messenger. I'll probably continue using cooked ROMs, but when an official 6.5 comes out, hopefully they can extract new or updated things from a stable ROM and make better cooked ROMs.

you are 100% correct. this would be the reason we want official updates other then that, our cooked roms are always better then any stock rom.

personally i think sprint is not gonna upgrade the touch pro until they relase the tp2, is not worth it yet, when they could boom themselve with the relase of the tp2 and d2, upgrade them then relase to the older ones, plus by wikipedia winmo 6.5 is going to be relase by Q3.....

its like we know pretty soon sprint is moving to 6.5 and it works better. if they are already roms running 6.5 and its faster and more responsive and it already has the new look we're about to have, why wouldn't someone upgrade?

i agree with the release timeframe, but not because of wikipedia because 6.5 has already been release so wikipedia was wrong. windows has already distributed the final version to all of its vendors. rtm version is already out.

i may be wrong, but personally i think we not gonna see winmo 6.5 in the diamond or touch pro, or other after tp2 and d2.

what happen is 6.5 improve the functionality of the tp or diamond a lot of ppl will stay with their device, they know the issues of the tp and diamond, so is better to get the bandwagon going to their newer devices then fix the older to those left behind...

I have posted it three times now.
Also I posted it on Pocketnow, yesterday.
Just chatted with Sprint last night and Crystal said that the update wm6.5 will be out in the fall.
