WM 7 on leaked Road Map
Here is yet more proof that Windows Mobile 7, a likely massive upgrade to Windows Mobile, seems to be coming in around 2010...
Of note is that Live Search, Windows Live, My Phone and the Windows MarketPlace for Mobile all will make the leap to Windows Mobile 7... |

Re: WM 7 on leaked Road Map
if 7 is coming in mid 2010 at earliest, theres a possibility we will need new phones to run it. they hinted that for the roadmap of some devices
also. an interesting note i want to make WinMo 2002 - 2002 WinMo 2003 - 2003 WinMo 2003 SE - 2004 WinMo 5 - 2005 WinMo 6 - 2006 WinMo 6.1 - 2007 WinMo 6.5 - 2009 WinMo 7 - 2010 they seem to be attempting to catch up and compete with iphone. they got soft after palm lost the market war. one more thing. they seemingly are having pocket pcs and real pcs share the number 7 |

Rather make re-releases every year and force manufacturers to buy the latest and greatest software rights (Which is what they're doing) they should be imporving and releaseing bi-annually. Even worse, the last couple years they've been sitting on their pot not expecting IPhone competition, and they were SO Wrong. So two things are happening right now 1. They are catching up their version numbers 2. They want it coinciding with their new Windows 7 so it seems so coy Hopefully we get some innovation in between. Otherwise we can all just go to (Shudder) Apple and show them we will find our solutions elsewhere. Oh, and ONE LAST EDIT! Windows 7 is slated for Q3/Q4 2009. WM7 is slated for Q1/Q2 2010. Microsoft it seems wont be winning the catchup as wanted. 6.5 will be thrown out the door literally, expect little fun with it. Last edited by Laos101; 05-26-2009 at 06:54 AM. |
