Diamond 2 Coming Next Month? Hitting Some Countries In Weeks

According to MobileTechReview the HTC Touch Diamond2 is due out this month in Taiwan. Local price is NT$21,900 (US$648.93) and it'll come with a 8GB memory card inside the box. Still no US release date, but with the UK version reportedly launching next week, we wouldn't be surprise if April was the lucky month for a stateside debut, as well.

This sucks, but in a good way. Waiting for the Pre to show, now the Diamond 2 may come before the Pre, great! Maybe I'll just update my wifes to a Diamond 2 and wait for the Pre. Thats unless the ROM gets ripped and ported to the Diamond, LOL!

I wouldn't hold my breath. There's usually quite a bit of time that separates the GSM release from the CDMA release.

look at the bright side, hopefully the gsm guys will have a lot of apps developed by the time these phones get released for us

I was under the same impression. Any "ballpark"' guesses on release date based on past devices? (e.g. how far apart were the original GSM diamond and CDMA versions released? what about other phones?)

If we do get a diamond 2, I'd love to see it and hopefully it wouldn't look just like that one. IMHO the color of the casing is ugly.

I happen to like the chrome finishes that have appeared on the Touch series. With the new Diamond, I particularly like that it wraps around the bottom front portion as well, instead of just being on the side similar to the Sprint Touch Pro.
