You're new to this game, aren't you?

HTC never addressed any of the problems on any of their devices. You're lucky if you get 1 rom update out of them with some minor updates. Sometimes you get no roms/updates.

Its the WinMo model. You fix bugs by buying a new device. That's why XDA and PPCGeeks exist. We all "like to hack" - but the truth is if you want something fixed with an HTC, you fix it yourself (or more accurately you backport HTC and/or Microsoft fixes for them, for free.)

It's like open source, only more closed. Makes it more exciting

The Touch Pro is my third HTC device. Surely everyone remembers the HTC Mogul did eventually receive an update from HTC to give us the long promised EVDO Rev.A support and GPS functionality. That was a tremendous update from the company. Now, I don't expect anything like that from HTC this time around, but at best they can give us an updated Touch Flo interface to fix the bugs and other problems that make the device awkward to use at times.

Awesome devices can't wait! I like that you can tilt the screen.

Danmit. Already another sweet phone to wait for.

This has everything that I wanted from the Touch Pro 1 - bigger screen along with the keyboard.

That's the thing, we weren't even sure we'd get what was promised to us w/ the mogul update. Now, this time they haven't even made any promises to remove the bugs and other problems.... sooo yea, i wouldn't hold my breath .

Good Find! I've been wanting to see a side by side comparison, although I think that was the Touch HD. I have the Verizon TP, and I did a side by side with the Fuze, and there is definitely a difference.

On a side note, how can I get that advanced People tab for TouchFlo 3D? The guy mentioned its from XDA?

I also love that in depth Calendar tab. I want that too!

Anyone know of where to get those 2 things?

Re: Diamond2 and Touch Pro2 announced by HTC

^^ It's a ROM from XDA but he's using it on the HD since they're both 800x400. The HD TF3D's that have been ported to the Diamond and TP so far have been heavily modified to work on 640x480. We'll probably see this TF3D for VGA at some point, but I expect it to take a while.

Thanks for the link, however that's not a TP2. It's a TouchHD with a TP2 ROM from XDAdevelopers. I believe the HD is still longer and wider than the TP2.
