squees! then december will probably be better for me for the raphael that way someone would've made a way for it to work on verizon

Re: Diamond Video WOWSERS

I can honestly say that from what i have seen in the future of windows mobile, I am not going anywhere. Android or Palm's new OS could tempt me, but probably will not get me.

Well if VZW is really opening up like they said they would I would not see the problem.

Re: Diamond Video WOWSERS

TouchFlo 3d looks amazing, probably not too practical though.

I do like some of the optimizations like the tab switcher on the bottom in particular.

Cover flow for contacts seems kind of silly however.

Re: Diamond Video WOWSERS

that's the thing that concerns me
the open network is supposed to be this summer and I just got my mogul from them (and thanks to multiple phones my contract is 2010-so I'm stuck with verizon)
My thing is that I never get the fresh phones because there is always that fear of wait someone may not know how to fix this bug a user comes across. At least after a period of time (4-6 months) the phone will be cheaper and support will be available online. So as a verizon customer waiting would be best
Now the next question
assumed retail value for either phone

Re: Diamond Video WOWSERS

I need to know how much this will cost so i can pour my money into it!

I wonder why they didnt show the raphael today? I like the touch diamond, but honestly, with my contract with sprint due up before any of these drop, im going where ever the mogul update goes.

Re: Diamond Video WOWSERS

Raphael would be fine if it was only missing the 4gb internal. I assume that is just storage anyway and not RAM. I can just spend $25 and get a SDHC card anyway. I guess it will depend on overall specs before I decide whether to give up my hardware keyboard. I would prefer not to but if the size difference is too great I might consider as long as the alternative still has gps and wifi and all of the other things I use on a regular basis.

Re: Diamond Video WOWSERS

How long does anyone think it will be before we have a cooked 3d TouchFlo interface for anyone to use?

Not to mention that WM7 will probably end up releasing 4 month after the Diamond goes on sale in the US. I'm waiting for WM7 when HTC release their multi-touch interface.

Re: Diamond Video WOWSERS

I couldn't find it in the spec sheets, but has anyone noticed whether or not the Diamond has a microSD(HC) slot or not? If it doesn't despite the 4GB of internal storage that's kind of a let down (just a medium sized one not a huge flaw).

Re: Diamond Video WOWSERS

The Diamond has 4GB of internal memory because it does not have any expansion slot. Adding a MicroSD slot would have added 2mm to the thickness of the phone, and it looks like it's something HTC was trying to avoid. That's why there's 4GB of flash built-in.

The Raphael, because it is thicker due to the keyboard, will have a mSD slot, but no large internal storage.
