You can only use a rom on the model of phone it's made for.

A moto q rom will only run on a moto q for example.

Conflipper any undates? Are you still working on the project? I see you were able to get the xip. Have you been able to pull the msxip? Any pieces of the Rom you would care to share?
Can anyone tell me how to extract a ROM from any Q, Q9 , Qh or even a Q8?
