Re: My Gmail account is not syncing to my Droid.
Have you added the account to the email application on the phone itself?
If so, slide up your apps list and go to 'gmail'. Once open hit the menu key and tap 'accounts'. Select the correct gmail account. Once that is open hit the menu key and tap 'Settings' and ensure 'Email notifications' is enabled. Hope this helps. |

Re: My Gmail account is not syncing to my Droid.
Okay, thank you. What that did was enable me to view my Gmail mail through the regular Email application. However, the "Gmail" app still does not show the mail messages associated with the account. I'm confused? What exactly is the "Gmail" app for if my Gmail emails are being sent into the regular "Email" app? I know this sounds confusing, but what's actually happening on my phone is confusing me even more.
For instance, when I open my Gmail account through the "Email" app, I have two messages in my inbox. When I open my Gmail account through the "Gmail" app, it just reads that I have "0 conversations" even though it's an email account? Extremely confused here. |

Re: My Gmail account is not syncing to my Droid.
Yeah, trying to remember getting this all set up.
Try this: Go to your homescreen > hit menu key > tap settings > tap Accounts & Sync Make sure that sync is ON for your gmail.com account here. The only other thing I think could do this is the settings here: Open the gmail app > hit the menu key > tap accounts. Do you see your gmail account listed there? If not tap "Add Account" and follow the instructions. If so, tap the account then hit the menu key and tap settings. Make sure 'email notifications is checked. (Not sure if this creates a duplicate notification or not) Good Luck |

Re: My Gmail account is not syncing to my Droid.
Okay guys,
I was having the same problem and this fixed it. Hopefully this will work for others. NOTE: This will not work if you don't have your sync settings correct. Just follow these steps: Press your device's < Home > button, then press < Menu >. Select Settings. Select Applications, then Manage applications. Select Gmail Storage. Note: If you don't see 'Gmail Storage,' press < Menu > again, then select Filter > All. Select Clear data. Answer OK when prompted. Return to the list of applications by pressing the < Back > button on your device. Select Gmail and then select Clear data. Answer OK when prompted. Then restart. To restart your device, press and hold the < Power > or < End call > button, then select Power off. Press the < Power > or < End call > button to power on. Your device will re-sync with the server after restarting (this may take several minutes). |
