Re: flash 10.1 coming to android
Full flash internet browsing on our mobile phones is a huge step up, at least to me it is

Re: flash 10.1 coming to android
Yeah, but its a double edged sword, with the new video formats and websites available from flash players/websites, comes all those pesky ram intensive flash adds. Hopefuly fenic is done by this time, I loved their add blocking support on my old Touch Pro (too bad it was in alpha for ever...)

Re: flash 10.1 coming to android
The lack of flash support on the iPhone is downplayed by saying flash is buggy and just plain crap. That doesn't change the fact that the whole internet uses it...
IMO Verizon doesn't need the iPhone. The android os can be as brainless as the iPhone and as customizeable as one could wish. Time will tell but from my vantagepoint iPhone sales are going to suffer unless apple can catch a more reliable network...and then a side by side comparison may hurt the iphone more then do it any good. I mean from a hardware perspective the I phone is already at a disadvantage and the rest is mostly preferance. |

Little bit of iphone rage aye?
They should just make a booth where you can go at a iphone 1st gen in a Plexiglas room for an hr for 50$. |

Re: flash 10.1 coming to android
I also think the Droid is going to do very well against the iPhone. I think one point that needs to be considered is that the Droid is brand new and the iPhone is in it's 3rd generation of tweaks and refinements. It looks like the Droid is building enough of a fan base to end up being a "legacy" phone meaning that we will most likely see a "Droid2" etc.. This first gen Droid is already going head to head with the third gen iPhone3GS and it's only going to get better. Developer support for Adnroid is spreading like wildfire, and many iPhone developers are starting to play both sides by making thier iPhone apps available on Android as well as many that are leaving iPhone completely to develop for Android. As much as I love my 2 week old Droid, I'm already anxious for the Droid2

Re: flash 10.1 coming to android
so with adobe coming out with flash and the multitouch pinch-zoom should make the droid a contender against any other for first place (iphone included)
pinch zoom source: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l5NJAMBzcts i have added a comment about it to 1st post Last edited by bbsandkm; 11-25-2009 at 12:47 AM. |
