Another question: I am going to be switching from a TouchPro to this phone. If I don't use an exchange server, what's the best way to get all my information onto the Droid? I would like to avoid going to a store and using Cellebrite if possible. I am looking into Googlesync but don't really want another email address (don't use gmail right now). |

Good question, I synced them in from exchange and GMail, but the store I got my phone from did offer to move my contacts from my old phone to it.. not sure how they'd go about it... |

Well, if activate means to open the app store, yes, you do. Don't need it to 'use' the phone otherwise from what i could tell. I did have a google account, (not gmail enabled) and it forced me to pick out a gmail email address.

The quickest way and simplest seems to be to export your contacts from outlook to a .csv file then goto your gmail account. On the contact screen there is an import button. Use that and wa la. I ran through all my contacts in gmail on the computer to clean up any that needed it and then let the phone sync them. |

Re: So Far So Good [[minireview]]
Considering its a capacitive touch screen, your nails wont work on it...
