No, but I just got it this am, (it kept popping up and asking me to wait, or do it now, so i just did it)

And now every time I go to "compose" a SMS message, I get a force close. I can reply to other messages, but composing one force closes it every time! I have powered off/on, I have not done a hard reset, but so far force close messaging. Just did it a few mins ago, though.

Damn it. I just got my new droid yesterday and did the update before reading this thread. Looks like I'll just have to wait until someone figures out how to root 2.1..

You already can. Get the 2.01 SBF file and use it to drop back to 2.01. Then use the 2.0 to 2.1 root file. These files can be found at alldroid.org.
