umm, if droid is all opensource and stuff, why aren't there other alternatives for ya'll. maybe make some ppcgeek roms..

I spoke a little too soon. I have observed decreasing amounts of free memory as the day goes on. I rebooted the phone and saw the expected amount of free memory. Any ideas about what is going on?

There are lots of alternatives. Bugless Beast, Bugless Beauty, AdamZ, and many others.

Well if you are interested, DMUpdater is available now from http://www.DroidMod.org and you can get DM 1.0.0 from it (which I think is essentially SM 2.0.7). Sounds interesting. Includes live wallpapers but loses the theme. Also lets you wipe data and keep your apps.
