vibrate and backlit issues

I just got the Droid last Thursday. Its cool.
The phone is set to vibrate and make sounds when typing on virtual keyboard. It does not vibrate on ever keypress and when it does the vibrate ranges from hard to very soft. What's going on? Should I return it?

Also a lot of the ime the keyboard. And bottom buttons don't light IP. Its set to light IP. What's wrong here? A lot of the time I have yo slide open the keyboard to light the home keys light up. Sometimes they are lit when you first power on and stay lit whole using the phone and other times its not lit ay all. This is extremely annoying.

Also as I type this on my Druid there's a rob of lag when typing to the sound and vibrate. Like I type too fast for the phone. This sucks too. The text window does not scroll as I type either I am only seeing the top 2 lines while I type.
