just got my today one quick question do i have to turn on or off data like all other diamond ect. looks sweet im so lost on this device so far

Data is on all of the time unless you turn it off. Easiest way to turn it off that I have seen is with a commercial program called Better Cut. This program will allow you to create a shortcut that turns data on and off. It does other hings also like skinning icons.
