Re: Motorola Droid Maintenance Release Prelude to Android 2.1
I got the update they're describing on Sunday night. I assumed it was the 2.1 update, and was a little confused when I checked the version # (which stayed the same at 2.0.1). I'll just have to wait a little longer. I haven't noticed any changes to the phone as of now. It does seem to run a little bit smoother. Does anyone know if the update does anything besides preparing for 2.1?

In another forum, i think androidforums maybe, folks were saying it fixed some connection issues some were having with the facebook app.

Re: Motorola Droid Maintenance Release Prelude to Android 2.1
I've read that you will get OTA updates when rooted as long as you didn't specifically disable them or install a custom rom. All I did was root. No busybox, no taskbar modifications, no roms, etc. I was told that I should still get the OTA. The ONLY issue is that this first maintenance patch is said to disable root. I'm fine with that though, I only use it for screenshots lol

Re: Motorola Droid Maintenance Release Prelude to Android 2.1
We have two Droids in my house. Last time there was an update I had to accept it. Haven't seen anything as of Thursday morning. Are they still pushing or did I somehow miss the update. Both phones are bone stock (for now)
