Re: Motorola Droid Maintenance Release Prelude to Android 2.1

I have yet to see a screen shot of the system info screen showing the ESD59 either.

Mine is still at ESD56.

Re: Motorola Droid Maintenance Release Prelude to Android 2.1

It's just odd to me that the only person who reported getting it here has a thread count of what 4? I've not seen a screenshot of the ESD59, and Motorola has said they didn't send out an update.

I know someone who knows someone who says they got it... nothing seems REAL?!? lol.

Please post a screenshot if you actually got the supposed ESD59 update.

EDIT: According to this, both Verizon and Motorola say this incremental update is a complete fabrication.

Re: Motorola Droid Maintenance Release Prelude to Android 2.1

I'm wondering if this whole debacle is related to people sporting Milestone ROMS as the Milestone got it's 2.0.1 this last week. Perhaps it's a network thing... hard to get my mind around but just trying to believe this isn't some conspiracy to fabricate a fake update.

I don't believe I said that I got ESD59, just that I got the update that was described in the link in the first post of this thread. In fact, I mentioned specifically that I did NOT get updated to 2.1...

I got the update they're describing on Sunday night. I assumed it was the 2.1 update, and was a little confused when I checked the version # (which stayed the same at 2.0.1). I'll just have to wait a little longer. I haven't noticed any changes to the phone as of now. It does seem to run a little bit smoother. Does anyone know if the update does anything besides preparing for 2.1?
And now my posts = 5

Re: Motorola Droid Maintenance Release Prelude to Android 2.1

Yeah sorry I don't even have 4 posts lol, but i got some kind of update right about the same time you other guys did. It didn't noticably change anything but according to the pdf that came with it, was supposed to improve battery life, os stability, improve cammera quality and reduce time in between shots. etc. I was actually wondering if it was a glitch and they just resent the 2.0.1 update to me again till i read this thread. So who knows.

Re: Motorola Droid Maintenance Release Prelude to Android 2.1

Still no update here... Running 2.0.1 ESD56. Everytime I hear my phone go off indicating a message, I get a little excited thinking the update is coming.....then I die a little inside.
