Are you using a shell/case? Many of those seem to hinder the mic.

I just put one on yesterday. My poor experience goes back prior to the case. |

Re: call quality
I use a shell case and am not experiencing any issues. My friend has a Droid and has this problem but he doesn't use any kind of case or protector. It seems that it might be a hardware problem in certain phones that were purchased early after the release of the Droid.

Don't put your finger over the mic hole.

Re: call quality
Okay this is kind of a dumb question but mic hole is on one side and the speak on other, so which side goes towards face when speaking on phone? could this make a difference? I have had people tell me I am in tunnel quite often. I usually talk to the glass side, but mic is on back of phone so could that be the cause?
