Would you be willing to provide instructions for those of us unfamiliar for backing up applications in Astro? I'd hate to be missing something... actually searching for 'Beautiful' brought up nothing... so I don't even know where to really start.

Open Astro
select menu>tools>application manager/backup
then select all (in the "Installed apps" tab)>backup

You should then see all of your backed up apps in the "backed up apps" tab if you tap on it

When in Astro tap on menu then tools and choose Application Manager/Backup. Follow the instructions.

I think that HTC is just mad that their Eris hasn't been selling as well as the Droid. Beautiful widgets look great on my homescreen and I don't think HTC should be angry about a slightly similar looking weather clock.

I agree... but it's not just similar, it's pretty much identical. It just doesn't flip like the HTC clock. I wish it did and don't really understand why they say they aren't allowed to make it flip but .

Of course this is why. It has been around for a while and is only now becoming an issue now that there is the hot selling Droid taking away their market share.

I was under the impression that the standard homescreen doesn't support animated widgets, that's why it can't actually flip. The same reason that the weather animations don't work on the homescreen. I could be wrong though.

I just checked the app store and it is gone so they must have pulled it down. Thanks for the heads up. Glad I got the update yesterday....
