Re: Microsoft Kin and Tegra
What do you mean, "get your act together"? How does the fact that the Kin has a Tegra chip bother you? Would it be better if the Kin had a good old Qualcomm chip?
I take it as a good sign, we're finally seeing some Tegra chips in our cell phones!

I mean get Tegra in a phone that will take full advantage of what you say Tegra can do. The Kin having Tegra doesn't bother me, I just want to see what they show in the demos.

Re: Microsoft Kin and Tegra
can't really blame Nvidia, i'm sure they're pushing to get the Tegra into as many devices as possible, if you want to be mad at someone blame the manufacturers for not using it and instead opting to use insignificantly updated years old processors

Re: Microsoft Kin and Tegra
Well just as Google came out with Android which was wack when it came out and spread some love (money in the form of advertising) to get it on devices Nvidia could do the same. They know thats what it takes, even Microsoft offered I think it was WM 6.1 for free for a while to get more devices running it. If tegra is to become as big as Nvidia wants it to become they're gonna need to spend money to make money. Though given the Fermi mess I'm not really suprised they aren't pushing Tegra right now.

Actually speaking of Qualcomm, what if they're bribing manufacturers not to use Tegra in an effort to hold it off until Snapdragon became mainstream, because Snapdragon is relatively new (by comparison) and Tegra has been available to manufacturers for what more than a year now? So Qualcomm bribes manufacturers to stay away from Tegra until Snapdragon hit the mainstream market. Yay conspiracy theories! |
